A Smooth Shave is Worth More than 6 Bucks

As you all know by now I do word of mouth advertising for Bzz Agent. I have given you the low down before but I will give you the quick version to keep you up to date. Bzz Agent is a Word of mouth advertising company they give consumers products to try (for free!). In return the consumer fills out product reports, hands out coupons, and spreads the word about the products. I have had fun participating since I have been so bored this summer.

My latest campaign as you can see is "Bic Soleil Savvy". It is a new razor system that Bic has come out with. The concept of the razor is like Gillette Venus, but instead of purchasing refill cartridges you throw the razor out after you used the last cartridge. The razor system is priced in our area around $6 and it comes with 4 refills.

I typically shave my legs every other day. I like them to become a little furry to avoid razor burn and I get a smoother shave that way. The razors lasted me about a week and half and I used the entire package in a month and a half. I consider that 6 weeks, each cartridge is around $1.50, and would cost you about $ .15
per shave. WOW!

This campaign could not have come at a better time for me. I was using a razor that I bought on some coupon deal. It was the last razor in the pack and they kept cutting the crap out of my legs. I still felt that my legs were pokey after I incurred all that pain. I was ready to become a hippy and never shave again. My bzz kit came in the mail the next day and I was really excited to try out the new razors.

I had a positive experience with them, clean shave and no cuts. I thought maybe it was a one use thing but it was not my second and third shaves were just as good. I have been fighting all summer to keep my legs smooth and this was the answer to my prayers.

Now friends, loyal readers, throw out those expensive razors you have been using and try for yourselves Bic Soleil Envy. If you want to learn more about this great new product visit

Until next time.... Happy savings.

I have been working with this amazing company lately called Bzzagent. I heard about it from Tyler Stillman, my marketing professor at SUU, when we learned about Word of mouth advertising. I was curious about it and since I am totally into coupons anyway I thought I would give them a shot.

After I signed up, I had to take surveys so they could find out more about me. You are awarded points for everything your participate in.  When you get a certain amount of points they will start sending you free stuff to try and coupons to hand out to others so they can try the products also. It's awesome because who doesn't like free stuff. I especially do because I am a student and have a limited budget, so anything helps.

My recent Bzz campain I particiapted in was for "Kroger" family night. I reveived coupons for a frozen pizza and fruit bars. I reveived in the mail a bag of tortilla chips and vitamin water. The purpose of this campaign was to have family night and include all of their products. So that's what I did. My hubby and I rented a move and snuggled up on the couch to our treats.

The pizza was my favorite, frozen pizza's have come a long way. We got the cheese flavor and added all our own toppings. It was so yummy with all of the fresh basil, tomatoes, mushrooms and garlic. We made guac and dipped the chips in it and shared the vitamin water to wash it all down. After all that salty food we needed a treat. The fruit bars were perfect because they give you the satisfaction  of eating desert without all of the calories of a bowl of ice cream. The products gave us the perfect mix of treats to enjoy during our movie.

The best part of of it all is that we enjoyed ourselves and had an extreamly cheep date. All we paid for was the Redbox.  I love it when I can have fun and enjoy myself and not have to pay a ton of money to do so. I challange all of you to find a way to have a cheep date with your lovers and tell me all about it.
Until next time....Happy Savings!

Site Under Construction

I just wanted to warn you all that my site is going though some changes. So please excuse the mess until I get it all figured out. :)

Garden Update

This is my little backyard garden
I am so Happy because I can finally see some progress in all of the hard work I have been putting in to my yard. Everything has sprouted that  I planted. I am going out this afternoon before work to thin out the beets I planted. There is a blossom on my tomato plant and I think I will have peas to eat in another week or two.

This is a complete 360 of what this area used to look like. I should have taken before pictures.

I decided that I liked gardening so much that I wanted to fix up the areas that have been neglected. We never really did anything with our back yard because of Charlie, our Husky was a puppy. We finally had him fixed a couple weeks ago and he is older now and a lot more mellow. I actually dared planting a tree this year. Besides, I found a great deal on trees. During fathers day weekend IFA had all of there trees half price. I found a beautiful Callery Pear Tree for $16. I love the trees because they have beautiful blossoms in the spring and they turn a beautiful color in the fall, they also attract butterflies and humming birds. The theme of my yard.
This is the tree I planted. The area still needs some TLC but I can offically say its no longer the "land of a million dumps"

I am really impressed with the progress that I have made. It will be exciting to take the frist bite of my bounty. Also, I am proud that I am actually sticking with a goal that I made for myself.

 Payless Shoesource

I found out the other day that Payless is having a BOGO sale. They also have all of their winter/early spring stuff on clearance.  What I didn't know is that you can combine the BOGO sale and the clearance items. I walked away with 2 belts for only $1.59 and I didn't even have to use coupons. :)  Go check it out before it ends. Share with me your great finds.

Is anybody else sick of collecting coupons and finding better deals with out them,

Keep up the great savings!

When kissing flowers, tulips are better than one

I have spent countless hours doing absolutely nothing so far this summer. I have forgotten what it is like not having anything to do and have driven myself nuts to the point I can't sleep. I hate to be bored it makes me feel unaccomplished. It reminded me of when I was a kid being bored, during summer summer break. I decided I need to act more like I did when I was a kid and create my own fun.

I have several fond memories going out with my grandma or mom and helping with the garden. The majority of the time I never ended up growing anything, and turned the garden space in to a homemade swimming pool. My friends, Mitch, Rach, and I would end up covered in mud from head to toe. One time it was even in my ears, gross. Looking back I realize that Mitch, Rach, and I could be millionairs and could have charged money for our "therapeutic" mud baths that drove our parents nuts.

Reminiscing on fun memories made me come the conclusion that I really enjoy being outside in the garden. I talked my husband in to getting the tiller out and actually using the compost we have been creating for the past two years. Besides, what better way to save money than to plant a garden?

If we look at this investment from an accounting stand point only, and not take into account labor hours, we will earn huge gains. We have spent less than $30 on all the seeds, manure, and soil to get this baby going. To make my garden an even better investment we planted things that usually quite expensive to buy in the store.  Can't wait to post the results.

Have a HAPPY WEDNESDAY everybody and enjoy the Sun!!!!

I Stoped Using Coupons and....

I spent over $1000 on food and supplies in the last 2 months on only 2 people. My groceries used to only cost me about $125 per month. That depresses me.  I have the motivation again to put the time in to coupons. I would like to blog once a week again.

Here is my first good coupon I found.

It is for 1.50 off Cottonelle. Wal Greens usually sells cottonelle toilet paper 12 packs for $5.

Have a good weekend. I am going on a Yoga trip. So I will report back next week.

PS..... Is it bad that I like to buy Cotonelle toilet paper because I love the puppy they use as their logo?
